Check Payment Status on PFMS (Bank Transfer Tracker)
Even if MPTAAS shows Payment Processed, verify the actual bank transfer on the government’s PFMS system.
How to check on PFMS (pfms.nic.in):

- Select your bank name from the dropdown
- Enter your bank account number
- Enter the captcha and click Search
- All government DBT transfers to your account appear — including MPTAAS scholarship
- If a payment was returned, the reason is shown (Aadhaar not seeded, account inactive, etc.)
How to Check MPTAAS Payment Status
You can check your MPTAAS payment status through two systems. The MPTAAS portal at tribal.mp.gov.in/MPTAAS shows your application stage from Submitted through to Payment Processed. Additionally, the PFMS portal at pfms.nic.in tracks the actual bank transfer and confirms whether the money was credited to your account or returned.
MPTAAS Portal Status vs PFMS Status – What Is the Difference
The MPTAAS portal shows the administrative status of your application – whether it has been approved, sanctioned, or payment initiated. PFMS shows the actual financial transaction — whether money was sent to your bank, credited successfully, or returned due to a bank-side issue. Consequently, always check both portals if your money has not arrived after the payment processed status appears.
Common Reasons MPTAAS Payment Gets Delayed
- Application stuck at college verification – college coordinator has not forwarded it
- Aadhaar not seeded to bank account – payment gets returned by NPCI
- Wrong IFSC code or bank account number submitted during registration
- Bank account dormant for more than 12 months
- Bulk payment processing backlog at state treasury level during October to February

MPTAAS shows Payment Processed but money not received – why?
The payment may have been returned by your bank due to Aadhaar not being seeded, a dormant account, or wrong IFSC code. Check pfms.nic.in to confirm whether the payment was sent and returned.
How long does MPTAAS take to pay after sanctioned?
After sanctioned status, MPTAAS scholarship payment takes 30 to 60 days to reach your bank account. During bulk processing periods it can take up to 90 days.
What is PFMS and how does it help track MPTAAS payment?
PFMS (Public Financial Management System) at pfms.nic.in is the government payment gateway used for all DBT transfers including MPTAAS scholarship. It shows whether money was sent, credited, or returned and gives the exact return reason if applicable.
