MP OBC छात्रवृत्ति — ऑनलाइन आवेदन कैसे करें

MP OBC scholarship is available through two portals depending on your income level. MPTAAS at tribal.mp.gov.in covers OBC students with income below Rs 1.5 lakh. MP Scholarship Portal 2.0 at scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in has additional OBC schemes. Many OBC students miss out simply because they do not know which portal applies to them or what income limit they fall under.

OBC Scholarship Through MPTAAS — Eligibility and Amount

MPTAAS covers OBC students alongside SC and ST with one key difference — the income limit for OBC is Rs 1.5 lakh annual family income, significantly lower than the SC and ST limit of Rs 6 lakh. OBC students meeting this income criterion receive the same maintenance allowance rates as SC and ST students — Rs 230 to Rs 1,500 per month depending on course group. However OBC students do not receive fee reimbursement under MPTAAS — only maintenance allowance. Use oureligibility checkerto confirm you qualify.

OBC Scholarship Through MP Scholarship Portal 2.0

For OBC students with income above Rs 1.5 lakh up to Rs 2.5 lakh who do not qualify for MPTAAS, MP Scholarship Portal 2.0 at scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in has separate OBC post-matric schemes. Login to the portal and check available schemes matching your profile after registration. Additionally NSP at scholarships.gov.in covers OBC students with income up to Rs 2.5 lakh nationwide. See ourNSP scholarship guidefor the application process.

OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate — Mandatory for MPTAAS

OBC students must submit a Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate proving their family income is below the creamy layer threshold. This certificate is issued by the Tehsildar or Competent Authority from your district. Apply for it through the eDistrict MP portal at mpedistrict.gov.in before starting your MPTAAS scholarship application. For the complete certificate process see oureDistrict MP पोर्टल गाइड.

How OBC Students Apply for MPTAAS Scholarship

The process is identical to SC and ST MPTAAS applications. Register on tribal.mp.gov.in/MPTAAS using your Samagra ID. Select OBC as your category. Enter your income certificate details showing annual income below Rs 1.5 lakh. Submit your OBC non-creamy layer certificate along with other required documents. Submit before the last date.
